Welcome my name is Gord Hart, I joined the heating and air-conditioning industry over 25 years ago, my first position a journeyman’s apprentice. Yes the green days… Throughout the first years I received hands on experience with a wide range of heating equipment and custom ductwork installations of both residential and commercial systems alike. Hands on experience installing residential heating cooling systems up to 15 Ton roof top units this provided a strong understanding of heating system installation and operation. I worked through and achieved my Natural Gas Licence “G2” also finished my Air-Conditioning Refrigeration Apprenticeship program and several HRAI trade related courses.
An Injury detained me from the day to day physical demands of the installation scope of work. I decided to take a two year college program. I graduated the Construction Engineering program and continued my education path and completed the Architectural Technology program also, I was able to upgrade and expand my knowledge of the Ontario Building Code thought my education. Expanding my foundation further with the use of computer assisted programs to provide a clear easy to read and follow blue print drawings, with the information and precision required by building departments for final review.
Prior heating experience and updated knowledge I utilized both skills and started working with a heating design firm mainly on the custom home projects providing heating system design with them for a term of three years. I was then offered a position with a large scale heating company to assist with their heating drawings and start a heating design department within their company. For the past 8 years I have been providing an average of 80-100 residential heating designs annually.
I decided to move on from my position as the administrator of the design firm and taken this opportunity to branch out and start my own HVAC design firm. “4HVAC Design.” Is my new company name we are here to assist Builders, Architects and Home Owners with your Heating Drawings for permit application, and any questions you may have regarding your heating systems.
